Steyning in the January snow.

Some views of Steyning High Street in the recent snow. Our friendly Post Office, local (Award winning) Greengrocer and our "out of everything snow related" hardware shop.

Mmmm.... Truffles, our local cake shop. And some of their cream cakes.

Part of the Lower School frontage in Church Street. The parts either side of the brick middle are both now computer rooms! (400 years old!) The timbers are real but the "plaster" was replaced with fibreglass 20 years ago to avoid ongoing maintenance.
Some of the houses have plaques showing their age... 1771 isn't that old though. :-)

Saxon Cottage built around 1550.

The Lyche Gate of St Andrews Church.

And the Churchyard.

The Church itself. The statue of St. Cuthman, the patron Saint of Steyning, was made in 2000 and looks at the site of the "modern" (12th Century) church built on the site of the original (9th Century).
